Surround is an immersive art installation created to simulate the over-stimulation people experience in today’s technological existence. Participants are immersed in an environment that incorporates audio and visuals that are projection-mapped onto physical objects. For this project, students worked as a team and engaged in research, brief creation, project planning, project management, digital illustration, 2D animation, motion graphics design, 3D animation, videography, creative coding, LED programming, and projection mapping. The physical installation included physical objects and computer hardware. This included plastic bags, wood pedestals, projectors, computers, computer-controlled LEDs, and Arduino Uno hardware.
