Surround is an immersive art installation created to simulate the over-stimulation people experience in today’s technological existence. Participants are immersed in an environment that incorporates audio and visuals that are projection-mapped onto physical objects. Working in teams students engaged in project planning, project management, digital illustration, 3D animation, 2D animation, motion graphics, videography, and projection-mapping. In addition, various physical objects and computer hardware were used in the installation. This included plastic bags, pedestals, projectors, computers, computer-controlled LEDs, and Arduino Uno hardware.
